Stumbled here and curious who we are? Over 15 years ago there was a little LARP that started in the Boston area. Several of our members met through this game, and long after most of us stopped playing on any regular basis, we stayed friends and tried other games together.
When Everquest was released, a group of us started up on Povar together and made a guild called Stormwatch. At the first server split, about half the guild wanted to transfer to Xev. Capulus was formed for those of us that wanted to stay, a guild with no means to join if you were not friends with us in real life. After a couple years, we decided to slowly allow others into the guild, assuming one of us considered them a friend. We had some great fun in Capulus and met some truly wonderful friends! Around the GoD expansion, other games were starting to pull some members away, and the leadership was just tired of leading. Over half of the remaining active members went to Forces Unknown. Capulus itself still exists, but only as a place for friends to log on and say hi, or for us to house our billions of alts. You won't see us raiding anything as a guild.
Somewhere in our EQ career, we've all found time to move around to other games and meet even more people. We've been in The Matrix Online as the Nephilim, some were in EQ2 as Cairdeas, Star Wars Galaxies found most of us as Imperials in Realm of Twilight , and World of Warcraft as The Black Rose, though most of our members joined with friends in Shadenfreude.
So here we are today, a community of friends. The Capulus name sticks, but it's not the tag that we always wear. Recognize us from somewhere? Feel free to stop by and say hi!
